JJGeorge was founded by John Youngblood in the Huntsville, Alabama area as a small workshop specializing in handmade hardwood tables for Big Green Egg and Kamado Joe ceramic grills — a niche product with a devoted following among serious backyard cooks. The company built its reputation on quality American craftsmanship and free shipping, growing steadily through word of mouth in the BBQ community. The brand expanded into accessories over the years, adding products like the Grill Torch and the B.B. Prime Salamander Broiler, a 1,500-degree infrared broiler designed for restaurant-quality searing at home. Its biggest recent breakthrough came from a collaboration with YouTube engineer Destin Sandlin (Smarter Every Day), where Youngblood and Sandlin combined their passions for grilling and domestic manufacturing to create the Smarter Scrubber — a welded stainless steel chain mail grill brush launched in 2025.
