LulzBot

"Your Imagination Built by LulzBot®."

LulzBot's story began in January 2011, when Aleph Objects, Inc. — a small manufacturer based in Loveland, Colorado — launched the LulzBot 3D printer product line with a deep commitment to the RepRap open-source hardware movement and Free Software philosophy. From the very start, LulzBot positioned itself as a premium, open-source alternative to competitors, serving not just hobbyists but Fortune 500 companies, NASA, military branches, universities, and libraries across 85 countries. Their printers quickly became recognized for their robust engineering, reliability, and dedication to fully open-source hardware and software — a rare distinction in the 3D printing industry. In 2019, Aleph Objects faced cash flow challenges and laid off the majority of its staff. Two Fargo, North Dakota entrepreneurs stepped in, establishing Fargo Additive Manufacturing Equipment 3D (FAME 3D), which acquired all of Aleph Objects' assets and relocated LulzBot's manufacturing operations to Fargo. Under FAME 3D's leadership, LulzBot continued to innovate and grow, ultimately becoming the largest manufacturer of award-winning desktop 3D printers in North America, with its products made entirely in the USA.
