Never Summer Industries was born in a garage in Denver, Colorado in 1983, when brothers Tim and Tracey Canaday began tinkering with snowboard design. Inspired by the nearby Never Summer Mountains — where snow lingers year-round — they officially launched as a company in 1991, channeling their passion for the sport into handcrafted boards built to outperform the competition. From those humble beginnings, Never Summer grew into the world's premier independent snowboard manufacturer, eventually expanding into longboards, wakeboards, and apparel. Their relentless commitment to innovation earned them the first patent ever awarded for any hybrid camber technology, and they pioneered features like P-Tex sidewalls that are now industry-standard on boards worldwide. Every single product is still handcrafted in their Denver factory — a rare distinction in an era when most competitors have moved production overseas. The brand has been exported to international dealers in countries ranging from Argentina and Germany to Australia, Korea, and Russia.
