How it's made
Fully US-sourced & US-made
Hualalai Estate 100% Peaberry Kona Coffee is one of the rarest and most sought-after coffees in the world — peaberry beans occur naturally when a single oval seed develops inside the coffee cherry instead of the usual two flat-sided beans, and account for only 3–4% of the entire Kona crop. Named after Mount Hualalai on Hawaii's Big Island, the estate was founded in 1996 by Joel Cooperson and has grown from a backyard hobby to one of Kona's most recognized estate brands, with all growing, milling, and roasting done on-island. The peaberry is medium/dark roasted for exceptional smoothness, delivering a characteristically low-acid, slightly spicy, full-flavored cup with less caffeine than standard Kona — and it takes over 200 pounds of picked coffee cherry to produce a single pound of roasted peaberry. test
Why the USAmade Score™ is 10/10
Every step of production — growing, harvesting, milling, and roasting — takes place on or near the Hualalai Estate farm on Hawaii's Big Island. The beans are 100% Kona-origin with zero blending, meaning both the raw agricultural input and all processing are entirely domestic. Hawaii-grown specialty coffee is as hyperlocal and American as a product can get — a clear and unambiguous 10.
